Ever wish you could let Trello make one of those little decisions for you?
In this tutorial, I’m showing you how to use a Trello board button to randomly select a card from a list and move it to another list. It’s a fun little automation for those times when you don’t need to be quite so intentional about what comes next.
I’ll show you how I’m using it to choose which worship song reaction video to record next, plus the original use case that inspired it: picking a recipe for the week’s menu.
We’ll walk through the board button setup, how the random selection works, and a few things to consider when deciding which list of cards to use.
Trello doesn’t need to make every decision for you. But when the priority doesn’t matter as much, why not let the system choose?
