Thought

Being busy is a form of laziness – lazy thinking and indiscriminate action.

What do you think of this quote from Tim Ferriss? I have to admit, when I first read it I immediately felt defensive.

I mean, I’m busy all the time…is that really a sign of laziness?

I’m still mulling this one over for myself.

The more I think about it, I think that on one hand he has a point, but I don’t think it’s so black and white.

I have always known, though, that being “busy” is not my goal.

I use automation to take care of the mundane so that I can attend to the important things without being “busy”.

I appreciate this wake-up call from Tim, though.

It’s a great reminder that when I am starting to feel to busy, it’s time for me to re-evaluate my process.

Streamline

What, specifically, is causing you to feel “busy”?

Is it time spent with customers?

Creating content for social media?

Working on your next online course or coaching program or making physical/digital products to sell?

Regardless of what task(s) are overwhelming you, there are ways to simplify and streamline, but the first step is always self-awareness.

Action

Are you wearing your busyness as a badge? Are you drowning under the weight of your to-do list?

It’s time to re-evaluate your process.
