I’ve always felt like Trello checklists are one of those features that could be so much more powerful than they actually are. If you’ve ever found yourself wishing you could do just a little bit more with them, you’re probably not alone!

In this tutorial, I’m walking through some of the limitations I’ve run into with Trello’s native checklists, a few workarounds you might not know about, and how to recognize when a checklist item has become complex enough that it really needs to be its own card.

Because sometimes a checklist is exactly what you need. And sometimes it’s time to give that task a little more room to grow.

If you’re using Trello to manage your business, your projects, or your team’s workflows, I hope this helps you make better decisions about how to structure your boards.

And stay tuned! Later this month, I’ll be putting a Trello Power-Up called Maestro to the test to see whether it addresses some of these checklist limitations.

Don’t have time to watch it right now?  That’s ok! Just make sure you Pin It for later!  Let me know in the comments and I will put it on my list for a future video!
